This and that…my ramblings of today.

Hello my darlings!

I just realised that I haven’t done a post in ages that’s just general chatter about a whole load of things, and personally they’re the type I love reading most so here are my ramblings of today.

Where on earth has the sun gone? After about a week of beauuuutiful sunshine, I walked home from uni today in the rain, yuck. However, I’m not going to let that ruin my mood!

So, here’s what’s going on with me right now. Firstly, I’m on a healthy eating/exercising regime and I’ve lost 3lbs, yay! Now before anybody says I don’t need to lose weight, I’m not doing it for that! I have been eating like it’s christmas since november and it has gotten ridiculous! I’ve been watching myself getting out of shape for months and meaning to do something about it but finally given myself a kick up the bum to do it and my aim is to be all wonderful and toned by summer (..and hey, if I lose a few pounds along the way, fab). I am super craving junk foods right now, and Rich keeps taunting me with ice-cream… meanie.

Rich and I have just made an appointment to go and view a wedding venue next week! It looks such a beautiful place, I just hope when I see it in real life it won’t be dissapointing. We’re in two minds as to whether we can afford to get married.. We’re thinking of doing it September 2012 because from then until february I have my final placement and then I’ll be a qualified nurse and will have to start a full time job – both of which will be hugely stressful and plus I really love the idea of finishing my course and starting the rest of my life as a married lady! Thing is, firstly, getting married is ruddy expensive and secondly, we have limited funds so is it worth being even more skint for a year and a half for one day? I think it will be decided once we’ve visited the venue and worked out numbers and stuff. What do you think? I’m not sure i’ve made that all very clear, but it’s not clear to me either!
I keep thinking about starting a second blog thats a bit more personal..the title of this one just seems very fashion orientated and I feel like it might not represent the whole of me.. What do you think – can it be both or is it worth giving another one a go? Hmmmmm..
How much do you love these MK & Ashley photo’s by Bruce Weber?
I really love Mary Kate and Ashley, their style is fab. There’s an ace article on them on Vogue online you can read here.
Lastly, here’s my OOTD and Day 2 of the 30 for 30 remix challenge.
Denim shorts: H&M
Peacock print chiffon top: Topshop
Leaf Necklace: Petit Chou (link in side bar)
Bangles: Primark
What a load of rubbish in this post eh! I did warn you it would be a ramble..LOTS OF LOVE TO ALL OF YOU, thanks so much for following  xxx

30 for 30 remix challenge and an OOTD.

I’ve been considering doing the 30 for 30 challenge for quite a while now, because I’ve got such a monstruous amount of clothes with many of them never getting worn. For those of you that don’t know about the 30 for 30 challenge, basically, you choose 30 items of clothing and you have to mix and match them for 30 days. Underwear, Coats, shoes, and other accessories are not included, if you were wondering.. I thought 30 items would be lots but having just chosen my 30, I can safely say it’s not! I’m hoping that by doing this challenge, not only will I learn to be more creative with my style because I’ll have to make outfits look different by accessorizing, but I’ll also realise what clothes can’t be reworked with other pieces and so I’ll learn to stay away from buying these types of clothes.
Here are the pieces I have chosen..Drum roll please..
1. Red tee
2. Floral tee
3. John Lennon crop top/baggy tee
4. Pink Frilly vest top
5.White Frilly vest top
6. Another white dressy vest top
7/8/9. A couple of cheapy primark vest tops for layering purposes
10. Brown polka dot peter pan collar top
11. Cream shorts
12. Denim Shorts
13. Teal bodycon skirt
14. Hot Pink Bodycon skirt

15. Peach bodycon skirt

16. High Waisted denim hotpants
17. Black Leggings
18. Green Peacock feather print floaty top
19. Black Skinny Fit Jeans
20. Karky Green Chinos
21. Rusty colour Chinos
22. Navy skinny fit trousers

23. Mustard yellow bodycon dress
24. Brown body con dress
25. Cream 3/4 length sleeve cardigan
26. Pale green glittery cardigan
27. Honey coloured chunky knit cardigan
28. Denim Jacket
29. Grey Blazer
30. Purple sixties style mini-dress dress

I’ve tried to keep my items fairly plain so it’s easy to mix and match, and so they’re easy to dress both up and down depending on the accessories. From the picture, you’ll see my colour pallete is also very neutral – it’s on purpose I promise! Again, so it’s easy to mix and match, and then I can make my make-up more dramatic with bright eyes and lips. I’m actually excited to do this! Here’s todays rather boring outfit, especially for doing housework in!

Brown Bodycon dress: H&M
Cream cardigan: Primark
Leaf Necklace: Petit Chou (online – link in side bar)
Bangles: Topshop
What do you think of my 30 choices and todays outfit lovelies?

It’s been one of those days…

…when nothing goes right, everything seems to be working against you and you feel miserable just because. I have no idea why, its a beautiful sunny day, I’ve had a day off uni and really I shouldn’t have a care in the world. So through feeling mopey and thinking I had nothing to write about, I’ve decided to do a post full of pictures and things that make me feel good.

Hope this made you think smiley thoughts like it did for me making it!
Happy Monday lovelies xxx
