Jacket: H&M. Dress: ASOS. Shoes: Daisy Street. Bag: Chairty Shop. Bangle: Zara Taylor.
It was such a glorious day today that I had to embrace it with a summery floral dress and denim jacket. Turns out though, it's really windy so I had to throw on a pair of tights, too. I'm wearing another piece by Zara Taylor today; her gold 'C'est la vie' bangle. It's a gorgeous gold colour and has 'C'est la vie - Whatever will be, will be' engraved on it. I love pieces like that - so simple at first glance but very detailed and beautiful close up. I also really like the optimistic message! Recently I've been asked a lot about all the lipsticks I wear - so for those people, today I'm wearing Barry M Lip Paint in 'Shocking Pink'.
How awesome are these bright wedges? Daisy Street invited to choose a pair from their S/S12 collection, which always panics me a bit - how on earth do I choose? My first thought is to always go for something that I'll get a lot of wear out of but this rarely happens as I'm so frivolously drawn to bright colours and bold patterns! I eventually decided on these 'Selena Peep Toe Wedges', I think they'll look amazing with a pair of denim cut-offs and a baggy tee once it gets a bit warmer!
I went for a run first thing this morning! Sounds quite mediocre but it's a massive thing for me! I have been making excuses for well, pretty much years about getting fit and going running, but this morning I decided I'm turning over a new leaf and just went. I didn't manage to run very far, mind, and I basically looked like I was having a heart attack the whole time. As I've always been quite petite, exercising is never something I've had to do to keep in shape. I may be small but I am certainly not toned in the slightest which I hate, so this is what I'm aiming for by summer! Send any running tips my way!

DeleteWow those shoes are gorgeous! I'm the same, I tried jogging once and was so so out of breath, I gave up after a few times haha, hope you can keep it up for longer :) I might start again now the weather's nicer! x
ReplyDeleteIt's quite embarassing being so unfit, but hopefully I'll get better reasonably soon! It's not too bad running in nice weather though not too sure if I'll be dedicated enough to run in the rain! Thanks Emma! xxx
Deletelove your shoes!
ReplyDeleteI really need to start going for jogs!xxx
Thanks Beth! It's just so hard to start isn't it! xxx
DeleteRunning is always hard at the beginning. It helped me to sing up for the Adidas Women's Challenge - 5k run in Hyde Park that runs every year/ I'm pretty sure there's post on it in my September archive. :) Good luck and don't lose motivation. At first run for 1 minute, walk for 2 minutes - for 30 minutes, then slowly invrease. I swear, it helps, even though you feel weird next to the people who run all around the park. ;) X

DeleteThe bracelet is so cute! It was my new year's resolution to do exercise (I'm like you, I don't need to do anything to maintain my weight - not good for me really!) but only went jogging twice in Jan! Whoops! It is really difficult - hope you keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pookie! I think it's harder to exercise when you don't actually need to in order to keep in shape! xxx
