ARTFUL DODGER

2 July 2012

In my town, once a year there's an event called 'Music in the Park'. It's a free event with 6 stages within a giant park that crazily attracts 60,000 people and it's always a fab day out. It was one of my friends birthdays too, so we had a picnic to celebrate! I got to use the picnic basket Rich bought me last year finally, I just wish I had taken a picture, it felt so quaint!

My playsuit is from George at Asda; I was asked to style one of their pieces in a festival style and this is what I chose. I love the vibrancy of the print and the fact it's my favourite colour only makes it better. I decided against the typical 'denim shorts, floral headband/straw hat and wellies' festival look which every female tends to think of for festival season, and settle for something a little more me. I always think festivals call for comfort and easy to wear pieces, hence the playsuit. My friends oversized cardi makes a great addition and kept me super warm. My Crown and Glory headband, Romwe glasses and vintage wrist-wear complete it, I think.

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend. It's been so humid that I've been able to wear summer clothes again, I love it! Rich only has two weeks until he finishes for summer (it's alright for teachers, isn't it!) and I have just 4 weeks. Trying to plan lots of exciting things to do as we're not going on holiday, but until then I'll enjoy July and look forward to the nice things we have planned!
