BOWLER

I was so ridiculously shocked when earlier a fellow blogger tweeted me to say congrats for being shortlisted in the Cosmo Blog Awards 'Best new fashion blog' category. I mean, me? I hadn't even asked anyone to, as many others do! I really didn't expect a single person to nominate me, let alone to be shortlisted! Nevertheless, it is an absolutely wonderful feeling to think that there are so many of you that read and appreciate my blog that I started for nobody other than little old me to read. So, a massive thank you to all of you, and now, a little favour to ask. I wore this outfit on my birthday evening, I notice it was 7.28pm, as my watch says! I had such a wonderful day and evening with a mix of family and friends, and some fabulously generous gifts. More on what I did, where I went and what I got, though, over the next posts to come. My dress is from Republic; I bought it two years ago and it sat in my wardrobe with the tag still attached until Friday, when I finally wore it. The cardigan is my friends (Sorry Dee, you need to retrieve it from me!), the clutch from a charity shop and my shoes from Sarenza. I treated myself to this Bowler hat from Fairweather Vintage a few days prior, as a naughty pre-birthday treat that I couldn't really afford but I think I love it even more for that. My gorgeous locket was a present from my mum that I adore and my Casio is from Rich, after months of lusting after one! The funny thing is, now we have matching watches as he has the same one in black, ha!
