Whoops! You've caught me with tea and scones again! It's no surprise I like afternoon tea, but it's even more of a delight when taking an impromptu visit with my beau. This particular patisserie I hadn't popped in to before, but Rich had been talking about taking me for ages so we decided there was no time like the present: when is that ever not that case, when cake is involved?! Now, enough about me being a food monster. It was such a beautifully quaint place with perfectly patterned walls, tables littered with mis-matching china and wonderful smells of cooking pastry and coffee drifting through the air. If you're anything like me, it's one of those places that warms your heart as soon as you enter and makes you think you'd be quite happy to become a squatter so that you would never have to leave!
Bravely for me, I've finally mastered how to wear leather shorts. I picked these up last autumn and this is the first time I've worn them; can you believe it?! I think last year I perhaps compared them too much to the not so wonderful leather mini skirts of the 80s, because when I tried them on this year I was pleasantly surprised and now I think I had been rather daft! I thought the beige jumper was the perfect accompaniment to the brown leather, paired with my adored carpet bag, usual hat and super sweet new shoes! I think I shall spend the rest of the autumn tucked up in big jumpers whilst facing the chilly breeze with bare legs; it seems the perfect compromise, don't you think?
