Papillon is the french for butterfly, so Rich tells me! This dress is years old, but I love it as much now as I did the day I bought it. I think it's because of the vintage print that avoids the ever-changing trends. My butterfly clips are hard to miss; I'm certain I'll be wearing them regularly over the next few months as the orange tones are perfect for wearing with my planned A/W purchases. They are so whimsy and delicate that I completely forgot I had them in!

On what was a beautifully sunny day, Rich and I decided there would be nothing better than to picnic in the woods with Fleur. For the occasion, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to wear a floral dress and butterfly clips to match the scenery, not to mention a fur coat - I said sunny, not warm! ;) I think the forest,  the mellow countryside and blustery seaside that surrounds where I live is what makes me love it so much; all that and only an hour from the big city. What more could I possibly want? As much as I love autumn and thoughts of heritage trends, oxblood colouring plus wooly tights and socks, I will miss picnics and spontaneous walks!What more could I want? Although saying that, I think I've just changed my mind as I remember I spent a large amount of last A/W in Starbucks with many a caramel hot chocolate..
