Winter sun is my favourite thing about the chillier months, there’s something so refreshing about it beating down on your face when there’s frost underneath your feet. Even better when you’ve got up bright and early (well, not so bright), thrown on some converse and gone for a walk with a happy little dog in tow. I’m not nuts, honest, there was a coat with this outfit, but quite frankly a coat just isn’t as nice to photograph as my dress underneath. Did you spy my shiny new specs? Pretty cool huh? They’re from the new collection from London Retro and my second pair from the brand now! The second to last image does make me chuckle so I couldn’t leave it out – plasters on legs make good accessories right? Good, I thought so 😉

I popped away to London this weekend for a lovely break that Rich surprised me with a few days ago! A swanky hotel (but if you’re in the market for something more budget, I can recommend Ibis!), a show, promise of hot chocolates galore and some touristy stops thrown in for good measure. As I’m in London rather often for press days and other blogging related work things, I often forget to enjoy the city itself. It was so lovely to spend a couple of days being a little touristy and just taking time to wander (and by that, I mean walking in the pouring rain to Buckingham palace long after Midnight). With the festive season well underway (eep, better start shopping), don’t forget to stop and take a little time out for yourself!

You know what? It’s all about the bag for me. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect bag and I know I’m not the only one. The colour, the shape, the occasion – it’s gotta be just right to win my heart. Boy oh boy, I think I’ve cracked it because I simply can’t put it down (you know THAT new-favourite-thing-ever feeling?), just look at what I have in my mits. I guarantee you’ll all be rushing out and grabbing one off the shelves, because if you’re anything like me, once I saw it, I knew I had to have it.

As I said, there’s a fair few boxes that have to be ticked for me to fall in love with a bag, so to speak. It’s gotta be a unique but classic style, and what could be more desirable than a truly quality leather bag with the all important gold hardware. This oxblood shade is a pure dream for the cold months, though I’m certain I’ll be mixing it up with a range of maxi dresses and mini skirts come summer too! Don’t get me wrong, black and brown bags are nice, but I definitely prefer to brighten things up a little with a coloured number all year round!
Ta-da, let me present my new Coach legacy wonder! It’s rather rare I feel quite so glam in such an easy-to-throw-on outfit, but I reckon it’s the combination of the muted wintery tones plus the matching hues of the bag, shorts (not that these images show, but they are oxblood too, honest!), nails and lip that bring it all together. Chuck on some simple black heels and I’m good to go. I know what you’re all thinking though, but never fear, I’ve got nude tights on – I’m not completely mad 😉 x
