PEOPLE TAKE PICTURES OF EACHOTHER

If there’s anything I like more than pretty dresses, it’s cameras – especially those of the vintage variety. Combine the two and I’m yours – I can see you all nodding in agreement. Truth be told, as much as I love my DSLR, give me a polaroid (even with the hefty £20 pack of film) or an instamatic any day of the week. This is where Duck & Duffel come in – this perfect frock found it’s way to me, leaving me quite literally jumping for joy and prancing around twirling in excitement for my new dress. Safe to say it’s now pride of place in my wardrobe as my absolute favourite. I posted a sneaky snap of it last week on my Instagram and you all went mad for it, so much so that you can now use the code ‘EMILY’ for free shipping. Go on over, you won’t regret a single penny of it.

Of course, because of the camera print, I thought it would be rude not to get a little snap happy with one of my old cameras on a walk in the woods. I took my new Michael Kors clutch because it just fitted in perfectly/quite frankly I couldn’t resist and off I went. I’ve since learnt it’s not the most practical of bags for a forest adventure (for anyone that hadn’t already worked that one out), but atleast it looked good, huh? I got the film developed and it seems that I’ve lost my knack with film photography after a little hiatus, not that I’ll let that stop me – practice makes perfect, right? Oh, and to anyone that now has The Kinks in their head because of the title of this post – you are welcome 😉

DANDELION

Another day, another pretty looking field to wander through and explore! I really am dreading the cold that autumn and winter bring, because I’ve so been enjoying being outside as much as possible these past few months. Alas, I’ll just enjoy it as much as possible and wear as many pretty dresses bare legged as I can ’til then. This field in particular was full of Dandelions. I’ve always made wishes on them, but as there were so many I picked the biggest, fluffiest one of all.

IN TIME, SPECTRUM DEFINE

I’ve been meaning to post these images for a couple of weeks now, after a wonderfully chilled out day in my local park. I say park, it’s a giant expanse of beautiful trees, hills and hidden walks which every year holds a free one-day music festival for around 45,000 people – the day these images are from! Rich was playing as per usual, so along with some friends, we took a picnic, suncream galore plus Fleur of course, and enjoyed a day outdoors with music all around. Perfect! Layering a t-shirt under pink dress I first wore last year (you can see it in this post!) I felt a teeny bit 90s chic with the spaghetti straps.

Just a quick post form me today as I’m busy working on lots of new things with Whimsy. Between that and dreaming of my A/W wardrobe (the shops bringing all the new season pieces out in August make you yearn for cosy cardigans and tweed fabric, don’t they?!), I’m a busy girl this week. In particular lusting for the polka dot shirt and turtle neck dress from Giles at Avenue 32, if money were no object, of course… 😉
