It’s a little known fact that I am, in fact, a freelance fashion photographer. Living in the glorious UK, I can be found spending my days shooting lookbooks, editorials and from time to time even a couple in love. Photography is a giant part of my heart that I thought was probably time to share with you, the readers that I love so much and who fill the other part. I will share just a handful of pictures captured from each shoot, but I hope you enjoy the ones I do share, even so.
Spending the day with Thea is a joy, and after many shoots together now, I consider her and hope it is okay to call her a friend. Such a beautiful creature such as she, I always feel priveledged to be able to snap away at her and capture countless beautiful photos. Perched in the rockery and looking longingly across the water, this shoot was all about the wanderlusting soul and gypsy heart. Thea is signed to Premier.

Dress: Rare London | Sunglasses: Michael Kors | Shoes: Sarenza | Bag: Cambridge Satchel | Bangle: Lola&Grace

My first truly springtime outfit of the year, and by far my favourite set of photos (and yes, that is why there’s little overload of snaps!). I can’t deny, there’s nothing I like more than photographing a pretty dress – a jumper and tights just don’t cut it! So with my own promise to myself that I’d pack away the tights and the sun peeking from behind the clouds, I donned my prettiest (and probably the most spring appropriate) new dress, grabbed my bright yellow satchel (that FYI, leaves me singing ‘they call me mellow yellow…’ for days afterwards everytime) and set off for a walk in the great outdoors. In the warmer months it’s my absolute favourite thing to do, no doubt about it.
If red wasn’t the colour to win my heart, I think it would be yellow. It certainly comes a very close second that’s for sure – I always feel so cheery when I’m wearing the sunny shade! It’s pretty wonderful how something so simple combined with a bit of bright weather can work wonders to lift your mood, isn’t it?

Dress, Shoes and Sunglasses – Marks and Spencers | Bracelet – Anna Lou of London

Someone once told me that you can never be overdressed. I think they were right. If I let you in to a little wardrobe secret, it’s that I don’t really own many ‘casual’ clothes. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got my staple high-wasited jeans (obviously), the breton striped tee (duh!) and my all important converse, but it doesn’t go much further than that. Beyond that point is a rainbow spectrum of pretty dresses, skirts and blouses, that I suppose are actually rather tailored and quite dressy, dare I say it!

In my books, it’s all about how you wear it. Take this cute shift dress for example. Technically it should be occasionwear by nature, but styled with some bright shoes and some white cat-eye sunglasses, you’ve got a perfect sixties look (and you all know how much I love the 60’s) for spring and summer days! Between you and me, the whole outfit is from M&S – can you believe it?

This was what I wore for shooting a lookbook all day for one of my new clients. I’ll be encorporating my shoots from time to time from now on, so keep your eyes peeled for sneak peeks! Anyway, I may not have been in front of the camera all day but as I said before, you can never be overdressed… 😉 x
