YOU CAN NEVER BE OVERDRESSED

Someone once told me that you can never be overdressed. I think they were right. If I let you in to a little wardrobe secret, it's that I don't really own many 'casual' clothes. Don't get me wrong, I've got my staple high-wasited jeans (obviously), the breton striped tee (duh!) and my all important converse, but it doesn't go much further than that. Beyond that point is a rainbow spectrum of pretty dresses, skirts and blouses, that I suppose are actually rather tailored and quite dressy, dare I say it!

In my books, it's all about how you wear it. Take this cute shift dress for example. Technically it should be occasionwear by nature, but styled with some bright shoes and some white cat-eye sunglasses, you've got a perfect sixties look (and you all know how much I love the 60's) for spring and summer days! Between you and me, the whole outfit is from M&S - can you believe it?

This was what I wore for shooting a lookbook all day for one of my new clients. I'll be encorporating my shoots from time to time from now on, so keep your eyes peeled for sneak peeks! Anyway, I may not have been in front of the camera all day but as I said before, you can never be overdressed... ;) x

  3. I love this outfit, the pops of red bring it together so nicely! I'm the same with my clothes too, I have barely anything casual apart from a few good pairs of jeans and way too many breton tops! When I was a teenager I especially admired the style of Blair Waldorf and would always leave the house dressed to the nines, no matter that I live in a small rural/beachside area & not New York City! I think I've learned to balance my style better now, embracing 'casual dressy' for my everyday style. x

  5. You have the most BEAUTIFUL sense of style. I love how you don't really seem to wear ginormous heels on a day-to-day basis, it makes your looks so wearable and easy to draw inspiration from! I give you one million cool points.
