When I’ve got a pretty new dress to wear, I’m not the type of girl that will wait for special occasion to put it on. I suppose, the expression all dressed up with nowhere to go suits me quite well here (here, meaning probably most days). This sparkly number (perhaps I’m regressing but right now anything that shimmers or glitters, I just have to own) is from warehouse and once I had it on, I just didn’t want to take it off again. I love the girlish charm and slight retro touch, it so deserves to be worn somewhere special. For that reason, I think I’m going to save it for my hen do later this summer! I’ve just ordered some gold ankle strap heels from Sarenza that will go perfectly, I can’t wait for them to arrive!

This is the second post on Emily Divine shot inside my bedroom and both in a row too! Perhaps it’s time I showed you all round and let you have a peek (or, y’know, a good nose around)!

Give me delicate pieces of jewellery any day of the week, especially those I can mix and match. Inspired by the Pandora #MyRingsMyStyle campaign, I thought I’d bring out my stacking rings for the occasion. Seeing as there are 3 for 2 on rings until the 26th May, I’ve just ordered myself three…and who can blame me, right…? 😉

This colour combination is just typical me. Of course it features my trusty red palette (having my outfit matching my blog design is totally cool, right?!) that I adore so much plus a touch of leather to stop it looking too pretty! 😉

I have had this dress for a while but for some reason, I’d never worn it until recently. It’s funny, isn’t it, how that happens! You’re certain you ‘can’t’ wear an item, or that it just doesn’t ‘work’ until one moment goes by and ahah! You can. These gorgeous black heels are from Sarenza – I have such a lot of new goodies to show you so expect a lot of Sarenza love coming your way soon. Not that I would expect you lot to mind…who doesn’t love looking at pretty shoes?!

I’m sorry for the silence around these parts recently – I’m suffering with RSI in my wrist (too much photography, photo editing, blogging and tweeting are the likely causes…whoops!) and have been a little incapable of doing a lot online! I adore photography (obviously…) and editing my photos – I’m like a proud mum when I’m finished and read to publish them! Sadly though, it does cause me to suffer sometimes (like now!) and currently my right hand is agony to use – cue me trying to write, type and generally do everyday activities left handed and some pretty funny and hilarious viewing for onlookers. As it happens I’m writing this blog post with the voice recognition tool on my iMac that I didn’t know existed! I’m not sure what I would have done if I hadn’t discovered it – I’ve already been suffering blogging withdrawal symptoms so it just couldn’t go on any longer!

Anyway, back to the outfit and photos in question! I wore this outfit when meeting one of my bridesmaids (only 3 months to go, eep!)  for cream tea (ooh, how very sophisticated!). You’ll be pleased to know that I took off the wrist splint off of my wrist for the photos…I don’t think I’ll be spotting them in vogue any time soon! 😉

Jumper – Pretty Little Thing | Skirt – Vintage (similar here) | Heels – ASOS | Watch – Olivia Burton | Bag – Pretty Little Thing

Last time around pastels didn’t really do it for me, but this season, I’m all over it! This is especially true when it comes to mixing and matching shades, prints and textures. My favourite piece of my wardrobe lately to wear with said pastels, is my gingham skirt. I bought this in a charity shop about two years ago and it’s been sitting in my wardrobe completely unworn, which is rather a shame seeing as it had been lovingly handmade by someone many years ago. It seems I had one of those ‘Ahah!’ moment’s, and decided it suddenly goes with absolutely everything I own, so expect to see it being worn around these parts much more!

Anyway, back to the pastels. Wearing an oversized turquoise jumper, perfectly matching Olivia Burton watch (happy coincidence!) and around my neck is the sparkly piece of deliciousness (is that even a word?) that is my Anna Lou of London necklace. It seemed a good idea having my hair in this messy ponytail at the time, though right now I can’t see why…Perhaps it’s to match the messy back-street background…? 😉
