When this year rolled in, one of my wishes at midnight was to reach out to people more, to do more random acts of kindness and become one of those people that lifts your mood and makes you smile, even after just one conversation. Don’t get me wrong, I do think I’m rather a nice person (even if I do say so myself), but I just want to push myself to be an even better version – there’s nothing wrong with that, right?
One of the things I’ve implemented, is to give more. In the most non-materialistic sense, receiving even a small gift unexpectedly makes you feel so loved – knowing someone has put time, effort and their most heartfelt thoughts in to choosing something for you, whilst you were completely unaware. Am I right or am I right? Anthropologie and their #Heartonyoursleeve campaign fitted in perfectly with my newly decided outlook on life, so I definitely wanted to be counted in and get paired up with a Secret Valentine!
After reading my valentines’ blog and scouring over their social media to learn more about them and their life, I finally chose some beautiful gifts that I just hope they will love. My secret valentine is a stylish lady, so some interiors goodies were straight where I headed. A vintage book in the shape of their initial (no clues from me!), a pretty candle (because I adore candles and I wanted to pass on some peaceful vibes) and a beautifully decorated teacup because from my gals instagram, I can tell she likes a cuppa 😉
On February 14th you can take to instagram and see the Anthropologie #heartonyoursleeve campaign when everyone will be unveiling their gifts from their secret valentines! I’m so excited to see if my valentine likes hers! Over and out from me, thanks Anthropologie – I’m feeling on top of the world from giving a little joy! x
