I’ve recently been rediscovering my love of music with a little help from a couple of new pieces of snazzy tech. Having once been the girl that would by the NME religiously, go to gig after gig each week and generally always have some sort of music blaring or headphones attached to my ears, it seems life has got in the way a little and I can’t remember when I last listened to my favourite songs. So, having recently got a new ipod, I thought it was only fair to have some listening implements that would give me a pretty fabulous listening experience to go with it. Being the indecisive girl I am, I’ve been flitting between my SkullCandy’s and my BassBudz depending on which type goes better with my outfit, (ahem) because let’s face it, when you’re wearing them as much as I have been, they’ve gotta look good.
So, the SkullCandy Navigators. Would I recommend them? In an instant. They are sleek and comfortable; if I didn’t have music on, I’d probably forget I was wearing them. So, comfort, check. On top of that, they sound so amazing – honestly. I’ve only ever worn in-ear headphones before (unless you count when I was eight and walking around clutching my walkman) and I just love how they block out any other noise, leaving just the crisp sound of whatever tune you’re playing. A nice feature too is that you can change the song, volume and even switch them off without them having to leave your head. Win.
My BassBudz – perhaps the prettiest in-ear headphones I’ve ever owned. Actually, make that definitely. The colour range is enormous and they come with embedded Swarovski crystals.. Cool, huh? There’s play/pause, volume and voice controls and they’re compatible with all smart phones which is bloomin’ handy. Comfortable? Yes indeed – they also came with 6 pairs of silicone earbuds so you can choose the ones that fit best for you. Having been that person whose headphones never stay in for more than a minute before they fall out, this is a big thing for me! I also have the super snazzy BassBoomz portable speaker. It’s tiny but don’t be fooled, it’s loud if you want it to be! It’s a bluetooth speaker that I’ve been using with my phone on picnics and I’ll definitely be taking it to festivals this year. I have the pink version, but there’s eight colours to choose from. This is one of those products that I just don’t know what I did without?
What do you use to listen to your favourites? Speaking of which, tell me your favourite songs/bands – I want to discover some new loves!
