There’s no better make-up look for Autumn than berry lips. Purple hues matching the leaves falling to the ground and complimenting the beiges, browns and oxblood colours creeping in to our wardrobes. Recently, after a little trial and error (read: after looking a little too vampy one too many times), I discovered how to create the perfect berry lips and I decided I just couldn’t keep it to myself! It’s super easy and I bet you’ve already got ideal colours kicking around in a drawer somewhere!

Step One: Start by creating a base for your lipstick. Concealer works best, but foundation will do too if it’s closer to hand!

Step Two: Apply your purple toned or darkest pink lipstick, no lip brushes required! You could even use your finger for a more smudged on colour.

Step Three: Blot, blot, blot!

Step Four: Get yourself a deep pink lipstick (or a lighter pink than the first shade you applied) and apply it to the centres of your lips only using your fingers. This instantly makes your lips look plumper by highlighting the fullest parts (cool, huh?)!

Step Five: Blot again and apply some Lipcote or some finishing powder.

Voila! Perfectly simple but fabulous looking, kissable berry lips for Autumn. Just FYI for anyone wondering, the two shades I used were from Shine Famous and Violine Strass. What other make-up looks do you wear in Autumn?

You look lovely! I quite like berry lips on others but am not brave enough to wear bright lipsticks on me! I do like your tips though!
