Anybody reading this little corner of the interweb will know that I’m big on shoes. I’m one of those ‘you can never have too many’ girls that ran out of places to store them long, long ago. I feel pretty privileged every time one of you lovely lot tell me you’ve bought a pair on my recommendation or after flicking through my snaps of my latest buy, and you know what? Spoiler alert – I can just tell you’re all going to be rushing out to get your hands on the delights I’ve got to show you.
Deichmann x Caroline Blomst is what we’re talking about today (read: it’s only March and I’m sure this is pretty much the coolest collab of the year). Let’s get down to the nitty gritty first shall we? Deichmann, if you’ve not been acquainted before, have styled the feet of everyone from the girl about town to divine ladies Halle Berry and Cindy Crawford (and who doesn’t like sharing shoes with Hollywood A-Listers?!). Caroline Blomst, fellow fashion blogger and general fashionista extroadinaire is a force to be reckoned with, modelling, blogging, styling and now designing, along the way.
Their collaboration consists of seven signature styles which are pretty much a capsule shoe-drobe in themselves. With pixel print trainers and smoking slippers to pair with causal looks, t-bar and multi-strap heels (hello, Valentino studded kitten heels at what, a 24th of the price?!) for something more dressed up, or peep toe stilettos and shoe boots (in both black and lace, don’t ya know) for full on glam. It’s all there and at Deichmann’s signature affordable pricetag, in my books, that makes for something pretty special.
Now, I’ve been lucky enough to test drive (or is it test walk?) two pairs from the collaboration and it’s been nothing short of an absolute joy working them in to my wardrobe (read: I’m yet to find anything they don’t go with). Jeans and breton stripes, cute socks and a printed playsuit, full on cat-print smock and (yet more) ankle socks, to a retro baseball tee and dungarees dress – you can see how versatile they are. Don’t want to take my word for it? My video is proof in moving pictures (make sure you watch it below for outfit and the shoe inspo’ galore, dancing feet and daft faces from me (as per), not forgetting appearances from a certain feline). Now, they’ve got my seal of approval 100 times over and by the looks of it, Ludo’s too (and who can resist that cute kitty face?). Available at the Deichmann website and landing in a store near you soon. Now, where did I put my purse…?
