There’s so many things I’d like to write in this post, but I simply do not know where to start. That makes it sound like this post is going to be deep and meaningful which it probably will not, be here goes anyway.
Firstly, this outfit (see, nothing deep and meaningful about that). Having felt a little uninspired by clothing of late, it was quite refreshing to receive this playsuit in the post from Mod Dolly, as a little thanks for modelling for their summer lookbook. You know that feeling when you put on a particular item and you automatically feel wonderful – well, it was that feeling. I also put on my Juju jelly shoes which I adore – the perfect amount of childhood nostalgia but with a more grown up twist. I wish i was brave enough for the really retro styles, but alas I am more than content with these.
We set off for some ‘down’ time and a little escape from an extremely busy and tiring day. You see, Whimsy Online launched a few days ago after months and months of hard work putting ideas in to action. It’s a digital magazine to inspire the ‘everyday girl’ out there. We have life topics, recipes and craftiness, some style and beauty plus the all important ‘Be Inspired‘ category, for interviews with amazing people. Feeling bored with the media’s outlook that people need to change and own more (often unnecessarily) to be happy, it was started primarily to excite you about life and give others the positive outlook they had been yearning for. I’m so enjoying it and appreciate hearing all of your feedback, it’s perfect and couldn’t have asked for anything more. Come and take a look for yourself.
We headed for the biggest lake I’ve ever been to (not that I’ve visited many) and wandered through the overgrown grasses and sneaked past gaggles of geese that weren’t at all keen on us being there. until we came to the waters edge. Rich sat on a blanket whilst Fleur chased the ripples in the water and I paddled, listening to John Lennon on the little speaker we took with us. Sounds like something out of a story, but entirely true and perfect after a long day.
