Apologies for bombarding you with photo’s. I went along to an event Kipling were holding earlier today, and the first pictures are obviously what I wore. My shorts are vintage levi’s with a vintage belt, Lazy Oaf t-shirt, topshop sleeveless cardi thing. On my lips I’m wearing a cute peachy colour from MAC and my nails are done with Chanel (base) and cheapy ebay nail art pens. Not a hugely adventurous or exciting outfit I admit.
Anyway, about the event. My friend Gabs and I turned up and were met by a lovely lady from Kipling (whoops, can’t remember her name) as well as Gabby from Surgery PR. We got to choose from either the red bag in my pictures above or a black backpack; I chose the red as I’m really not a backpack kind of girl. As I hope you can see from the pictures, there were lots of sweet jars full of embellishments for Silver Spoon Attire to customise our bags, and we were told we could choose 5. I chose letters (Emy, as I’m sometimes called), black and white tassles, gold star studs, badges and I can’t remember what the last thing was. We returned to Selfridges an hour later and the pictures above were the finished thing, complete with my very own Kipling monkey, I love it!
The event was to launch Kipling’s ‘Back to College’ collection, boasting a range of oversized backpacks in eye-catching lacquer fabric with heritage detailing along with graphic totes. You can check it out on their website here – which are your favourites?
Silver Spoon Attire (Avigail Claire and Damian Collins) were also really nice, they’ve styled clients such as Rihanna, Daisy Lowe, Tinie Tempah, Eliza Doolittle, Kelly Osbourne, Matt Smith, Ellie Goulding, Corrine Baily Rae, Frankmusik, Ciara as well as lots of others, so it was fab to meet them.
I’m so pleased with my bag, it’s so cool that it’s completely personalised! What do you think of it?
