As soon as it started snowing, it seemed every blogger rushed out to do outfit posts with a snowy backdrop. I can’t quite stand all this weather related chaos and craziness, so I planned on waiting til the snow had melted before I showed you all another outfit. Seeing as the snow in my town is showing no signs of leaving anytime soon and I haven’t posted in a while, I’ve had to give in.
Wearing my brown fur coat again, the only thing suitable for these temperatures in my opinion! I really wish I had taken off my coat as I am wearing the jumper of my dreams. I found it in a charity shop for a couple of pounds, is black and fluffy with appliqued black bows around the neckline. Underneath, I’m wearing a black skater dress from BooHoo. On my feet are Wellies. Not the epitome of cool, but I really do not care. I don’t think I hate anything more than damp feet, so instead of tiptoeing around in ballet pumps or something equally unsuitable as per my usual winter attire, I’m wearing wellies until it’s all gone away.
Oh, I have been meaning to mention it for ages now, but Rich and I aren’t getting married next year anymore. If you follow me on twitter (and if you don’t, why not? Come and say hi!) you will have seen my excitable tweets, plans and general wedding related chatter. The decision came once we had totalled everything up that we wanted for the wedding and it came close to £15,000. We both know that you don’t need to spend that much on just one day, but we’re both very much of the opinion that we’re only gonna do it once, so why not go all out? So, after a long discussion, we realised that £15,000 would be a massive chunk of a deposit towards our first house and decided that a house should be more of a priority. We’re hoping to have bought and moved in to somewhere by next christmas, and then get married the year after that instead. So don’t panic, things are still all good with us, we’re just trying to get our financial priorities right! Sorry for the rambling explanation, but a few of you have been asking so thought I’d better get it out in the open!
I’m super happy to have painted my nails in the first time in so long! I used to do lots of nail art related posts, but I’m having to work a lot more now and as I can’t wear it to work, it seems silly to paint them for one day, don’t you think? Will have to try to do it a bit more. Had a lovely weekend; Rich and I just basically sat and watched films under a duvet on the sofa with tea and biscuits, was bliss. What have you all been up to?
