We all want to look our best and think we know what colours suit us, don’t we? We all look back and think ‘what was I thinking?’ but could knowing the colours that work for you actually change how you look? Trash Fashion recently spoke with a ‘Colour Consultant’ who gave us some insider tips on how to really get it right this Spring..
Hair: The key is to stick to warm tones – anything from the palest of blondes to a deep brunette, keep with the warm undertones in order to compliment the typical ‘Spring skin tones’.
Skin: Ensure you are wearing a yellow pigmented foundation and peach or beige shades of blusher. These, again will compliment and improve your spring skin! A good yellow pigment foundation is Clarins True Radiance in Sunlight Beige and a lovely spring blusher is Tigi Bed Head Player Blush in Glowing.
Eyes: Vibrant shades of green, violet and gold will bring out the warmth in spring eyes, but make sure you keep it subtle.
Lips: A soft apricot shade will enhance any spring complexion. Pinker shades should be kept for summer.
What to wear: You can be bolder with clothes than you can with colours for hair and make-up. From the Spring colour palette of warm, yellow-based shades, you can wear bright tints of a medium to light intensity. Think of nature’s own spring colour palette while you’re shopping with greens, purples, yellows and light browns.
I don’t know about you lot but I certainly feel enlightened as to what I should be wearing this Spring! Will any of you be incorporating any of these tips in to your Spring routine?
